“Labor relations” is the study and practice of managing associations’ employment situations. It can refer broadly to any dealings between management and workers about employment conditions. Most commonly, labor relations refers to dealings between management and a workforce that is already unionized, or has the potential to become unionized.

The International University Western Humanities train Labor relations managers how to maintain a smooth working relationship between employers and employees. Also they learn how to assist with contract negotiations and make sure that both parties live up to the terms of the contract.
